One word to describe myself? Easy.
Grateful.I'm a storyteller, journalist by education [Auburn!] and curator of photographic and editorial design. My terrible memory irks me, but photography is my remedy for it. It has become an obsession because it's how I recall the beauty in what could have been a fleeting moment but was caught to live on. I love kids with wild smiles, beautiful light, and images that evoke a gamut of emotions. Photography is the most universally understood and honest form of art. It transcends language. It is pure magic.
I cherish unique, beautiful moments that life has to offer; from having sincere conversations to embracing small adventures. If I could have a super power, it would be the ability to slow time down or relive memories.
In my role as a portrait, family and wedding photographer, I strive to create meaningful images that show the love and connection between couples and their loved ones. Capturing strong interpersonal connections is one of the greatest sources of fulfillment for me.
It's important to note that I am a Christian. As such, I love all people and believe everyone deserves love and for it to be documented. I do not discriminate; I photograph anyone regardless of religion, sexual preference or culture. My purpose here is to experience, connect and document. I just pray my images mean something to someone.
